About
Born and raised in Gallup, New Mexico, Sujay Thakur grew up with a strong work ethic — from his first job at McDonald’s, where his drive-through team achieved record sales west of the Mississippi, to his collegiate years at UC Berkeley, where he learned the power of iteration and execution. These lessons have guided him through every business venture since. After earning degrees in Chemical Engineering and Finance, Thakur launched a successful career on Wall Street before returning to his entrepreneurial roots in New Mexico. Today, he leads Raj Holdings and Thakur Enterprises, companies recognized for their disciplined growth, strong fundamentals, and community impact. A lifelong learner, Sujay continues his education through advanced studies in Artificial Intelligence at Harvard’s D³ Institute, exploring how AI can reshape early-childhood education. His goal is to develop intelligent learning models that enhance cognitive and social development from infancy through elementary age — a passion that connects his business, scientific, and philanthropic pursuits. Thakur supports educational institutions including Manzano Day School and Bosque School, reflecting his belief that progress begins with accessible, quality education. In his free time, he enjoys reading autobiographies, studying history and AI, and mentoring young entrepreneurs.
